Non-Ordinary (普通ではない Futsūdehanai) is a supernatural anime created by Weekender Girl39. It revolves around a group of five students who suddenly find themselves gifted with superpowers.
Plot
At the Oshima High School, a duo of teachers come together with the idea of an experiment. This experiment would allow them to create superpowers by trying different chemical concoctions. Hiroto Satoshi, tried one of them, and found himself gifted with power the next day. The more they experienced, the more they could create different powers which Hiroto would try for himself. Realising that he could keep these powers and have as many powers as he can, he became power-hungry. Seeing how much these powers had changed him, Keiko Takada, destroyed the other concoctions they had created and took the documents necessary for their creation.
Hiroto was mad, threatening Keiko to hurt her with all of the powers that he has. That he would create more power and become the most powerful being on the planet. Upon finding that he had created more power potions, she took them and put each of them in candy. She then put these candies in the bag of five of her students. Akiko was the first to notice the sudden change within herself. Suddenly gifted with the power of electricity, she was scared of her newfound ability. Trying hard to hide from others.
But she finds that she is not alone as some of her classmates also find themselves with powers. Keiichi, Harumi, Keita and Natsuki were also superpowered. Eventually, they get closer together as they try to control their powers. But their bliss gets disrupted when Hiroto chases them, telling them that they have stolen his powers and will do anything to get them back. Keiko, feeling sorry for involving them in this, comes to the quintet. Telling them about the experiments and how Hiroto became obsessed with power. She decides to help them get control of their powers and stop Hiroto from causing more havoc and gaining more power.

Akiko is one of the best students in her class when it comes to science and maths. Her wish is to become a scientist and is a hard working student. She lives with her parents and little sister Maya, whom loves her dearly. She was terrified when her ability started to manifest. Akiko wasn't sure about telling her parents about it, as they were in constant disagreement and arguing with each other. She became friends with Keiichi, Harumi, Keita and Natsuki, even developing a crush on Keiichi. At first, she wanted to reason with Hiroto before realising that he was mad with power.

Keiichi is shy and not completely sure of himself, although he is often praised for his academic and athletic skills. Belonging in a wealthy family, his parents are always encouraging him to get a higher education. They are often overbearing and controlling, causing him to shut down and lock himself up in his room. He cares about his little brother Keita a lot and doesn't want his parents to be the same with him. Much like the rest of the group, he didn't tell his parents when his power manifested. Keiichi is very secretive and opens up to his brother only, but he opened up more when he became friends with the rest of the group.

Harumi is an outcast in her class. Considered strange by her classmates due to her hobbies, she doesn't have many friends. Her former friends turned on her, making her wary of others. She became very cold towards others and doesn't like approaching people. When her power manifested, she could hear the thoughts of people around her. This made her even more cold as she could now hear what people were truly thinking, making it her realise how horrible people were around her, even her parents. It was thanks to her powers that she realised that Akiko, Keiichi Keita and Natsuki had powers as well. Upon spending time together, she started opening up more.

Keita only knows his brother and spends all of his time with him. Even though Keiichi tells him to make friends, he is scared of approaching other people. Although his parents aren't as overbearing with him as they are with Keita, he doesn't feel loved by them. His brother gives him all of the affection he has and does everything for him. The both of them were very scared when their powers manifested. But they told each other that they would train to control them together. Keita met Harumi who knew about his powers and then met the others. Gradually, he found himself happy to find others like him.

Natsuki hates to talk to other people, because she is in a wheelchair, she thinks they only talk to her out of pity. She is aloof and reserved, she doesn't want help from anyone. Her father blames himself for her disability, despite the fact that he had nothing to do with the accident that caused it. She resents him, thinking that for him she is nothing but a burden, even though he loves her dearly. When she got her power, she was afraid and scared but still didn't want to talk to anyone. She then met the others in her class who had powers like her, and found that she wasn't alone.

Keiko initially wanted to help Hiroto because they were both interested in experiments. She was curious to see how their body would react to the liquids they had created. Upon finding out that it gave the person who drank it powers, they started doing more. But Hiroto started getting more power-hungry. When she saw that, she decided to destroy the potions they had created. When she find out that he had created more powers, she put them away in candy and gave them to her students. She helped them upon finding that their powers had manifested. In order to stop Hiroto in his madness, she gave herself an ability, knowing that he would overpower her with all of the power he possesses.

Hiroto always had a strong sense of justice. Wishing to defend the powerless and help the bullied. These feelings mostly stemming from his past, where he felt helpless in time of need. He was left behind and couldn't count on anyone. Along with Keiko, they started experimenting together. When drinking one of the mixtures from their experiments, he was given a power. He then gave himself more power, then secretly used them against criminals. But the power had gotten to his head. Upon finding that the power potions he had created were given to Keiko's students, he went mad. Resulting in him harassing them to give him his powers back.
